My Not That Exciting but Perfectly Fine Life

"We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.” Frederick Keonig

Middle of June, Already?

Can you believe it's already the middle of June? One more month and I'm moving once again. I gave my last rent check to Angie tonight humming to the tune of Pomp & Circumstance. I've officially graduated from writing her any more rent checks. What a weird thought.

I've been busy packing, sorting, and pricing for our upcoming garage sale. I've also been keeping busy with other activities such as bridal showers, moving a friend, helping with wedding preperations for Michelle and Andy's wedding this coming Saturday, celebrating Christin's birthday, and baby sitting my adorable nephew, Joshua. All of these are great things and I've been thrilled to be a part of them. At the same time I sometimes feel like there's so much going on it's hard to sit down and relax. Our pastor has been teaching a sermon series about the Sabbath and it's been very refreshing to hear and also challenging for me. Resting doesn't always come easy for me, but I'm committed to making it happen.
After I returned from Hope City, I went to Menards and bought some flowers for our deck. I'll have a balcany where I'm moving so I'll be able to transfer them easily. Here's a picture of a Gerber Daisy I purchased and is now gracing our deck. I love Gerber Daisy's! Well, I love any flower, really, but especially Gerber Daisy's. They're such a happy flower.
